"Jive-O-Matic" was recorded live off the floor in the fall of 1995 in the auditorium of The National Library of Canada with additional live sessions recorded at The Rainbow Bistro. Mark Rehder had just joined the band before we recorded this one and only had a couple of gigs to play the songs live along with rehearsals. The room has excellent acoustic properties and we got a very clean sound with Ross Murray's engineering. This album marks the bands transition from piano to guitar as the rhythm/comp instrument.

"Jive-O-Matic" is the album with the first and original swing version of Led Zepplin's "Black Dog", subsequently copied by others.
